Since 2013 each October’s highlight for us is Gitex Technology Week. It is the main technology and innovation event in the Middle East that takes place in Dubai. This year marked the 37th time of Gitex Technology Week and was visited by over 150 000 visitors, together with over 4.400 exhibitors from 97 countries.
The team
Like every year we had a booth at our favourite spot – Zabeel Hall no. ZL-A5. A team of four – Gintarė, Agnė, Esraa and Imran represented Ruptela and met hundreds of people.
Ready-to-use solution
On the very first day of the event it quickly became clear what attracted people to visit our booth. It was our real-time vehicle monitoring and control system TrustTrack. Being a stand-alone workstation for fleet managers it captured attention of everyone whose work involves any type of vehicle. Visitors were most interested in Eco-Drive, maintenance, fuel management and communication modules.
Moreover, TrustTrack API that allows to easily integrate it with other IT systems, drew a lot of interest. Connecting it to CRM, ERP and various webservices proved to be valuable and applicable for almost every business.
Benefits of being wireless
Though Bluetooth technology has been around for quite a long time now, when added to a GPS tracking device it can create valuable benefits. Our GPS tracking device with a Bluetooth module was also one of the hot topics amongst our booth visitors.
Ability to establish a wireless connection to the accessories in the trailer proved to be in high demand. Mainly because it makes installation process easier and removes risk of violating vehicles’ or trailers’ warranty during the cable wiring.
Gitex 2017 summarized
In short – Gitex was great. We met a lot of our partners and also got a chance to meet a lot of future partners. And on top of that, we brought many new ideas on how we could make our tracking products and solutions even better.
